A large database of Points of Interest, such as petrol stations, restaurants, post offices etc, is pre-installed - simply tell the TomTom which amenity you are looking for and it will find and navigate you to the nearest one.

Real-time traffic information can be received by the TomTom ONE version 3 using the optional TMC traffic information receiver available separately.

The system also has automatic route recalculatiob - if the suer should deviate from the pre-planned route the TomTom will calculate a newly optimised route, based on your new location and the previously set destination address.
