TomTom ONE v2 - Europe

The TomTom ONE Europe was launched in the autumn of 2006. This version 2 model builds on the excellent reputation already built by the TomTom ONE version 1. The TomTom ONE Europe is effectively identical to the TomTom ONE Great Britain but comes with European mapping for the following countries:-

Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, The Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Vatican City

The new TomTom ONE comes with a range of enhancements over the previous version all designed to make the users journey more enjoyable.

The TTONE EUROPE is "plug and play" and can be used straight out of the box and all controls for the new TomTom ONE range are made via the touch-screen menu system which is both logical and easy to use.

The intuitive menu allows users to quickly find destinations and plan routes in advance. The latest mapping data comes stored on SD memory cards for use straight out of the box.

In common with other units in the TomTom, the TomTom ONE EUROPE allows users to determine how routes are calculated - shortest, quickest, avoiding toll roads and congestion charging areas.

The user can also plan their route based on their desired arrival time. This is a great new feature which allows the user to enter the time at which they want/need to arrive at their destination and the TomTom ONE will calculate the time to depart from the current location.

Directions and instructions are spoken and the volume of the unit automatically adjusts with the speed of the car. This ensures all instructions are heard regardless of the ambient noise levels in the vehicle.

The TomTom ONE is also compatible with TomTom PLUS services. This is a subscription service, used in conjunction with a Bluetooth mobile.

TomTom PLUS allows the TomTom 1 to receive real-time traffic and weather information, thereby allowing the system to calculate optimum route to destination taking into account conditions en-route. More information is available on the TomTom site - see our links page.

The unit is housed in a new, sleek design and the bright, sharp screen has an anti-glare coating to aid use in bright sunlight.
