TomTom GO 730T

The TomTom GO 730T is a fantastic piece of satnav kit. It comes with a RDS-TMC traffic receiver which allows the system to receive real-time traffic information relating to the route and vicinity in which you are currently driving.

This information therefore allows you to best plan your route - knowing ahead that there are roadworks or congestions/accident ahead will literally save you countless hours of motoring over the coming years.

The system comes pre-installed with street-level mapping for Europe and is plug and play straight out of the box - no need to install software or maps - just start using is as soon as it is installed in your vehicle.

TomTom MapShare is utilised through the TomTom HOME software. The system can be connected to a PC via a USB cable and the latest maps, software, points of interest etc can be downloaded direct over the internet. MapShare allows thousands of users to effectively correct mistakes they discover on their maps and this information can then be shared with all other users of the system.

The system comes with a pre-installed safety camera database to enable the user to identify ahead of them areas through which they need to drive with increased awareness such as near schools, hospitals and accident blackspots.

The TomTom GO 730T has an excellent 4.3 inch touch-sensitive widescreen. The system is operated through TomTom's famous intuitive touch-screen menu. This means all of the systems features are no more than a few taps of the screen away.

New to this series of TomTom satnav systems are IQ Routes. This allows the system to calculate the optimum route for your journey taking into account REAL AVERAGE TIMES experienced on that part of the route by other TomTom users.

The system also provides "advance lane guidance" - the system shows you which lane you need to position yourself into ahead of a junction to ensure you don't take the wrong turn or need to take last-minute action once on the junction to move to the correct lane ahead.

The system comes pre-installed with a massive points of interest database which allows the user to quickly be directed to local restaurants, hospitals, shops, airports etc. A great time saver.

This is an excellent satnav system and represents great value for money.
