TomTom GO 720T - Traffic Edition

The Tom GO 720T is a fully featured satnav system from the TomTom GO range of in-car satellite navigation systems.

This version of the TomTom GO 720 comes with all the features we know and love from the TomTom range of satnav systems.

In addition to this, the GO 720T version comes with the RDS-TMC traffic information system which allows real-time traffic information to be received byt he system. This information is FREE - no licences or monthly subscriptions to pay.

Using the RDS system, realtime traffic information will allow a better journey to be planned as traffic problems ahead can be factored into the planning of the journey.

Entering destinations is simple using full address and full 7-digit postcode entry. All system functions are accessed by the 720T's intuitive touch-screen menu system.

The TomTom GO720T also comes with a pre-installed safety camera (speed camera) database giving advance warning as you approach danger areas such as congested areas and schools.

The GO 720T can also be used a hands-free car kit when used in conjunction with a Bluetooth enabled mobile phone (available separately).

"Help Me" Menu

The "Help Me" menu system is a part of the menu system which provides assistance in case of emergency. The menu provides such information as useful locations, phone numbers (eg. car dealers, Police, pharmacists etc.), car maintenance information as well as some medical information.

The system can also directly dial a breakdown service when used in conjunction with a Bluetooth enabled mobile phone.

The unit comes with a Lithium-Ion rechargable battery already installed - the system is ready to use straight out of the box. The GO 720 comes with a large 4.3-inch widescreen and an anti-glare coating ensures the system can still be used even in the brightest of conditions.

Modern satnav systems come with state-of-the-art satnav receivers and the GO 720 is quick to acquire and hold satellite signals. Text-to-speech functionality is also included, which allows the GO 720T to actually speak road names.

The TomTom GO 720T comes pre-installed with mapping data for most of Western Europe.

TomTom HOME software is also included within the box. This software allows the GO 720T to be connected to a PC via the USB cable also supplied. The TomTom HOME software allows map updates to be installed, downloading of additional POI's (points of interest), sharing content with others, easy route planning in advance as well as many other features.

TomTom MAPSHARE allows you to alter and share mapping information and because TomTom has the most users in the UK, the information is upto date.

The TomTom GO 720T is also enabled to use the TomTom PLUS services. These are subscription services and more details can be found on the TomTom website.
