TomTom GO 710

The TomTom GO 710 is the mid-range system in the new TomTom "GO" range. It is a feature-packed satnav system and represents great value for money.

The new system comes complete with a high quality, extra wide, 4 inch LCD touch screen. The screen is bright and images are sharp. The touch-screen menu is easy to use and makes the GO 710 a delight to use.

The TomTom GO 710 has greatly improved GPS performance using the newest developments in GPS receiver technology as well as hundreds of features and software improvements. The system comes with street-level maps for UK and Western Europe stored on a 1GB SD memory card so can be used straight out of the box - no need to connect it to a PC to install software and maps as with other satellite navigation systems.

The new GO range comes with the free software application TomTom HOME. TomTom HOME enables GO710 users to easily manage, download and store content between their PC's and their TomTom GO 710.

The TomTom HOME software is used in conjunction with the TomTom Dock - which comes as part of the package. This is an easy way to connect the GO 710 to a PC.

I-pod control allows the connection of a 3rd generation IPod or higher to the TomTom GO710 thus allowing the user to control and play music stored on the IPod via the GO 710.

TomTom PLUS services are also available as an add-on. These provide the unit with real-time traffic and weather information allowing the user to plan their journey in a more efficient way.

The renowned hands-free calling functionality has improved and the pre-installed Safety Camera database is now available across the range, making it even easier and safer to navigate to your destination.

Automatic re-routing comes as standard allowing the TomTom GO 710 to quickly calculate a newly optimised route to the original destination if the user should accidentally stray off the originally planned route.
