Navman iCN510

The Navman iCN-510 satellite navigation system is a small, portable unit that has been around for a few years now.

The iCN510 has a durable, light-weight housing which contains a multi-directional satellite GPS receiver as well as a bright, colour 3.5” touch-screen. The iCN510 is controlled using the touch-screen menu system as well as the various buttons housed on the right-hand side of the system housing.

The iCN510 also has an infra-red port for using an optional remote control system available separately - this allows either the front or rear-seat passengers to control the unit whilst the driver concentrates on the road.

The Navman iCN 510 uses the SmartST™ V3 satellite navigation software. Voice guidance provides turn-by-turn instructions, allowing the driver to concentrate on the road ahead. The unit comes with the following languages available: - English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Danish and Swedish.

In the UK the iCN510 normally comes with street-level mapping for the UK and with the added benefit of having the major roads of Europe stored on a separate CD. The European mapping data should be sufficient to enable the user to navigate from one town to another whilst driving on the continent - it is always sensible to check what mapping data is being shipped from the supplier at the time of purchase to avoid disappointment on receiving your satnav unit.

The Navman iCN510 includes all the great features of previous iCN units, such as back-on-track™ technology which recalculates a new route if you should stray off the current one, 3D-Map view, 5-digit postcode search, turn-by-turn voice instructions and the ever useful “avoid areas” function.

The Smart ST Version 3.0 software enhances the iCN510 even further with a host of new navigation features.

The iCN-510 can be used in-car or on-foot. As the system is not wired into the vehicle it can be transferred easily from one car to another, ideal for a family who want to share a satnav system.

The unit is ideal for people who want to buy their first satnav system but aren't looking to spend too much incase they aren't happy with their purchase.
